Information Architect, Chase Bank
Design and manage "Pre-login" ecommerce screens for multiple site merger.
Engagement: User Interface Architect, Chase Bank,
March to July 2005, Wilmington, DE., Contract
About Company: JP Morgan/Chase had recently merged with Bank One to become the second largest bank in the United States of America. I was hired as a contractor for the merger of ecommerce assets across JP Morgan, Chase Bank, Bank One, and Brown Investments.
My Assignment: Design and manage "Pre-login" ecommerce screens for the
merger of all sites assets. This involved working with Lines of
Business to develop requirements and use cases, then take these high
level documents and develop flows and ecommerce screen designs. After
design was done, I was tasked with managing the executing of these
designs through a Content Management System, and overseeing this
initiative through to staged deployment.
Techniques Used:
- Requirements and Use Case negotiation and development.
- Task and Work Flow analysis and development.
- Pre-login screen development, and documentation.
- Content Management strategizing and execution.
Examples of work at Chase:
I worked on many of the core pages for Pre-login Chase, with a team of 40+ Interface Architects:
Pre-Login Chase pages were broken down into zone assets
which were reused across pages, and could be managed independently of the individual pages. This strategy allowed for rapid page creation and management, allowing for deployment of thousands of pages, over a period of months.
